Black Women Healing

For many Black women, the importance of education has been emphasized from an early age. Unfortunately, those who pursue college experience trauma due to institutional racism. The trauma continues working in corporate America.

When Dove released the findings of the CROWN Workplace Research Study I was astounded by the number of Black women who have been discriminated against because of their hair.

Why do so many people feel entitled to have a say about a Black woman’s hair choice? The choice to wear your hair natural or relaxed is your choice. When we as Black women begin to love ourselves unapologetically it becomes easier to live however we choose. One of the reasons I created the digital course Unlocking the New True Authentic You is because Black women deserve to live a life according to what’s valuable to them.
