If you are like me you’ve just recently realized that April is Black Women’s History Month. It has been declared a holiday in the state of Virginia and soon it will be recognized across the country.
For many of us, 2025 has brought challenges that we never could have imagined. Corporations like Target who had been allies decided to shift their DEI initiatives. Many Black entrepreneurs are having their products removed from major retailers. Despite these challenges, we continue to rise.
Today I would like to share a few ways you as a Black woman can level up even in this climate.

Hello Skip
If you are an entrepreneur there are so many resources Hello Skip has that are beneficial to you. You will have a database full of grants that you can apply to most of the time right from the Skip dashboard. In addition to the grants Hello Skip offers website design and can write your business plan with updating as needed. As a Plus member, you will have access to the resources you need to establish business credit and obtain lines of credit. Learn more about Skip at http://linktr.ee/healercassandra
Job Liberation
For many Black women working in corporate America can be draining. The constant microaggressions can cause feelings of anxiety and depression. Dr. Kimani will be hosting the Job Liberation Summit for Black Women where she and other experts share strategies you can utilize to develop a game plan to leave your corporate job and have financial stability. Sign up for the summit at https://linktr.ee/healercassandra
Rooted 2025
Sister you know in times like this it’s even more important for us to support one another. There is a Sisterhood Sit-In taking place across the U.S. starting April 10th. During this bus tour, you will have the opportunity to support Black women owned businesses. Grab your ticket at https://linktr.ee/healercassandra

Wrap-Up
Be the change you want in the world. One person can make a difference. Madam CJ Walker, Stacey Abrams, and Vice President Harris are just a few examples. If they can break barriers so can you sister. We will continue to rise with the strength of our ancestors.
