Achieving Spiritual Wellness

The world is full of stressors. Whether it’s an election, police brutality, or the day-to-day challenges of living in America there will always be some type of tragedy.

I’ve been asked the question of finding peace. This may come as a surprise from a wellness coach/holistic health practitioner however in my professional opinion peace isn’t possible without believing in God.

Try the following approach to building spiritual wellness:

  1. Spend time alone for meditation. Meditation is the perfect medium for connecting to your inner self. It is vital to maintain that connection so you remain in tune with your spiritual beliefs. It’s also a great way to help focus on the present.
  2. Make value-guided decisions. Living a life in tune with your values is the best way to be true to yourself. In turn, this trueness allows your spiritual life to flourish. Having spiritual wellness also means you can make yourself available to help others.
  3. Pray Use a prayer journal to communicate your thoughts and feelings to God. In your quiet time, He will provide the peace that will lead to a healthy mind, body, and soul.

Wrap-Up

The road to spiritual wellness is long and complicated, but quite fulfilling! There is a deeper level of peace and understanding to be gained when you travel that road. Kneeling at the Throne prayer journal can serve as a resource in writing your thoughts and feelings to God.
