Five years ago I decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship. After overcoming systemic lupus with a natural regimen that I developed I knew God healed me so I can facilitate the healing of others.
As a Black woman in business, the journey hasn’t always been easy. Although Black women are the fastest growing segment of the population starting businesses many of us lack resources particularly capital to ensure a solid foundation for success.
For many Black women business owners their why for starting a business is personal. When you decide to support a Black woman you are changing a life in so many ways:
- Turning a dream into reality
- Providing necessities like food, shelter, etc. for a family
- Stimulating your local economy
The list could go on and on. With August being Black Business Month I encourage you to be intentional in patronizing Black women business owners.
One way to support is by purchasing Love Letters to My Girls book. This book brought together over 100 Black women to encourage Black females to love & value themselves. Purchase your copy by clicking on the book image.
