All I Want Is To Be Happy

Do you remember Mary J Blige’s ” Be Happy” song? She spoke the truth all we really want is to be happy. Have you ever settled for less than you deserve in a relationship? I know I have whether it was thinking the person would change or believing that since I couldn’t bear children I was unworthy we attempt to justify reasons for settling.

The crazy thing is that we will never experience true happiness and joy until we fall in love with ourselves.

Tips for Falling in Love with Yourself

  1. Speak positivity into your life. Use affirmations on a daily basis to remind yourself of just how wonderful you are. Need inspiration? Check out my affirmations video on YouTube at https://youtu.be/2IbH5KD3qN4?si=TCjvst0s6Mu54LcD
  2. Seek God as you draw closer to God you will have a clear understanding of your value. Since He made you He knows how precious you are and deserving of love.
  3. Build community. Those toxic thoughts and actions often occur when you are alone. Find a supportive sisterhood. It doesn’t have to be big just a few women who will love on you and cause you to feel amazing.

Wrap-Up

It’s quite possible to experience happiness and joy alone. Never allow anyone to diminish and devalue you. If you need support I am here for you Sister.
