It was November 2014 when I was diagnosed with systemic lupus. Honestly, I thought medical treatment wouldn’t last long and would return to work soon. However, God had a different plan for my life, so I didn’t return to that job and eventually became an entrepreneur.

When I started my first company in 2018, it wasn’t easy. Due to illness, savings were depleted, and access to capital was a challenge. Despite the challenges, I pressed forward and built a brand that impacted people across the United States and ultimately the world.
Today, life may have thrown a curveball you weren’t expecting. I encourage you to yes acknowledge the challenges, but keep doing the work. Your trajectory in life typically isn’t based on what has happened to you, but on your response.
Wrap-Up
Your life will ebb and flow. Maintain a positive mindset by listening to things that uplift you and build a circle of people who desire the best for you in life.
For the past few years, I’ve been working in domestic violence, empowering women toward well-being. Right now, I have an initiative to gift copies of the Love Letters to My Girls book to female students at HBCUs. This is only possible through individuals’ and corporations’ support.
If you are an individual who would like to purchase copies, you can do so at https://linktr.ee/healercassandra. With every purchase someone makes from me, I am able to gift copies, so thank you in advance for your support.
For corporations that would like to sponsor this life-changing initiative, this is a link to the sponsorship deck https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pCDqW-z2qltlG_cRCLHMIZRJRlq0q1SjLv4HyXSH8o0/edit?usp=sharing.
