Across many states in the United States there is a winter weather disaster. Forced power outrages leaving people in the cold and struggling for basic necessities. Many people are already feeling overwhelm due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are struggling during these unprecedented times you are in the right place.
Time and time again God has shown His people that He will be there even when things look scary. Let us look at a few examples of God blessing in the midst of a storm.

JOSEPH
Joseph brothers wanted to kill him however they ended up selling him for twenty shekels of silver. Later Joseph became a slave in Egypt. There in Egypt he was imprisoned unjustly because of Pharaoh’s wife false accusations.
While in prison Joseph interpreted the dreams of the chief butler and chief baker. This was a gift that was given to him by God so despite being in prison God was still with him. At some point Pharaoh had a dream and no one could interpret the dream. The chief butler remembered Joseph and let Pharaoh know how Joseph interpreted his dream.
Pharaoh released Joseph from prison and God allowed Joseph to interpret the dream. Joseph ended up being appointed over all the land of Egypt second in command only to Pharaoh. Joseph acquired great wealth and eventually reunited with his family.
In the midst of a storm Joseph was safe because God protected Him just like He will protect you.
JOB
Job literally lost everything! His servants were killed. Livestock consumed by fire. All of his children killed in a windstorm. Job was then struck with boils from head to toe. His wife encourages him to curse God and die. His “friends” who came to encourage him only condemned him. Job’s friends thought surely, he was in sin because of all the calamity Job had experienced in such a short time.
Despite the struggles Job stayed close to God. God kept him.
Job 42:10
And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
CASSANDRA’S STORY
When I think about the challenges life has brought my way, I know God has kept me. One of the most difficult circumstances was going through miscarriages. Unfortunately, this was something I went thru five times. With my last miscarriage my body physically and emotionally was wiped out. Every day I would open up God’s Word and write whatever Scripture spoke to me. This is something I did for months.
Those writings really was a cathartic experience. For several years I kept those writings to myself however God had a different plan. At some point I had a publisher reach out to me and those writings became part of my devotional.
God knew other women who needed healing so even in the storm He allowed me to experience comfort in His Word.
