As we celebrate Black History Month we should take a moment to celebrate the wins we are making today. Black women shift our society whether it’s a presidential election or fighting for sisters like Taraji we make our voices heard.

I can recall during the pandemic starting to become concerned about my health and how I would survive financially without working and being unable to participate in any events. As life would have it an acquaintance told me about her friend who was developing an anthology for Black women.

During the pandemic over 100 Black women came together and birthed the Love Letters to My Girls book. For me, this book means so much because it shows the power of sisterhood and how we turn our setbacks into opportunities.
